Salman said, "Tumhara ye dialogue sunn kar mujhe 5 saal pehle ki Katrina yaad aagayi (Your dialogue made me recall 5 years back Katrina)". Like Katrina Kaif, Elli Avram too hails from the foreign land, hence it is obvious that the actress doesn't have a good hold on Hindi, like that of Kaif's Hindi lingo, 5 years back.

Moreover, Elli somewhat resembles Katrina Kaif, that might have interested Salman Khan even more. Elli Avram is a Swedish Greek actress. Salman is known for his soft corner towards foreign beauties. Salman's alleged contribution to build up Katrina's Bollywood career is known to the world. And recently, we heard about the actor's alleged link up with Romanian model Iulia Vantur. And if Sallu's recent fondness towards Elli is any indication, we can soon see her as Salman's heroine in an upcoming flick.

Screen Survey 2013: Salman Khan at No. 3, scores on his charisma

Credibility of the Salman Khan brand seems to be getting stronger by the year as he ranks 3rd in the Screen Annual Survey 2013 about Bollywood brands.

Salman Khan remains the undisputed 'Bod' of Bollywood (37%), he is also seen as a man who works hard (4%), is intelligent (4%) and takes risks (3%)

A talk about brand building now seems incomplete without a mention of Salman Khan.

Be it in a survey or at a panel discussion on the same. From being dropped as a hot potato by brands, he's now one of the most sought star to endorse a product in the past four years.

12 per cent in the Screen Annual Survey 2013 rate him as the third biggest brand in Bollywood, three steps ahead of even his buddy, Aamir Khan (9%). Unlike Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan, it's tough to get this Khan to decode his brand appeal and yet he might as well qualify to be the Spin Doctor of Bollywood. His star client: himself!

What seem to work for Salman are qualities like fitness (37%), energy (12%), bold (7%), good looks and charm (7%) and social awareness (6%). While he remains the undisputed 'Bod' of Bollywood (37%), he is also seen as a man who works hard (4%), is intelligent (4%) and takes risks (3%).

The last may have more to do with Salman Khan as a person than any experimental works on screen. He's unapologetic about the kind of films he works in, which are typical masala fare. And yet, 16 per cent see the actor as the third best ambassador to represent Bollywood on a global platform, two steps ahead of Aamir Khan again.

Imam accuses Salman Khan of rigging Bigg Boss?

It seems former Bigg Boss contestant Imam Siddiqui loves to create controversies. After showing his hysterical and violent side on the show last year, Imam has once again locked horns with Salman Khan.

In a post on his Facebook page, Imam has slammed the Bigg Boss host and accused him of rigging the show. If that was not enough, the fashion and image consultant got himself involved in a public quarrel. A DNA report says Imam was spotted arguing at a restaurant in Goa. He was allegedly heard abusing and threatening. Well it seems Imam loves to be the controversy king.

Mr. Salman Khan has stated in an interview that I had no work priority Bigg Boss to Bigg Boss hence was frustrated. Factually inaccurate. I was on a contract with utv stars for # styleaddict & served my notice period of one month before I went into the bigg boss house as a wild card entry. As a matter of fact it was me that salman had hired as a choreographer for a film that he was acting in and producing before he signed his first ever feature film. The actress was none other than my dear friend Ericca De Sousa Vohra & the co producer/ director was Mishal varma. Incidentally i have yet to be paid for that assignment. After this first ever unpleasant experience in Bollywood, I realised I 'n e v e r' wanted to work in Bollywood. 

Another point that i'd like to clarify is that i was called for Bigg Boss season 1 as a casting director, by Mr. Arjun Menon but since i was already on contract with Eskimo models at the time hence turned them down. Every year since i have been approached for the seasons but constantly declined. Last year because i was told it would be a Parivarik family oriented show i decided to agree to go in as a wild card entry. Yea I did message Salman cause i saw that contestants in the house were disrespecting the platform and the opportunity. Claiming that they could make 50 lakhs in a couple of projects and need not have to suffer the indignity of 72 hours of physical labour due to a task that too on the auspicious occasion of dhanteras. i messaged salman to say that they had hired incompetent idiots who did not deserve to be there and i was keen to go. Over to you Mr. Khan.

Salman Khan's hit-and-run case: Court rejects activist's plea

A sessions court today rejected the plea of a social activist seeking to intervene in the 2002 hit-and-run case allegedly involving actor Salman Khan to help the prosecution in the trial.

Judge S D Deshpande ruled that only an aggrieved party, complainant or witness had a right to intervene. In this case, the applicant, Santosh Daundkar, was neither a witness, complainant nor an aggrieved party. Hence, he could not be allowed to intervene, the court said.

The court also rejected Daundkar's another plea seeking transfer of his complaint from magistrate court to sessions court about perjury action against Salman and police for allegedly producing wrong witnesses in this case, as a result of which the trial was delayed. The judge held that he had no jurisdiction to transfer the complaint. He asked the applicant to approach a higher court or the Principal Judge of Sessions Court in this regard.





On Salman's plea for a direction to media to report true and fair proceedings of the 2002 hit-and-run case, the court deferred its order till October 15 saying the Bombay High Court was seized of this matter. The court said that Salman had already moved the High Court by filing a defamation and civil suit against some media channels for allegedly not correctly reporting the proceedings of the case. As the matter was pending in High Court, the sessions court did not give any ruling on the actor's plea.

The judge observed the high court had already given an interim ruling that the media should provide a fair and objective reporting in the case involving the film star.

Salman's lawyer Shrikant Shivade argued that the media was biased against the actor and was not reporting correctly the court proceedings. This had tarnished the image of Salman in the eyes of public, he alleged and urged the media be directed to report true and fair proceedings in the case. On October 15, the court would hear Salman's lawyer and prosecution on whether the trial should begin afresh or evidence adduced earlier by the Magistrate should be considered by the sessions court.

Daundkar's lawyers Aditya Pratap and Abha Singh argued that their client wanted to intervene in this case in public interest to help the prosecution. They said section 301(1) of CrPc allowed Daundkar to intervene in the matter to help the prosecution. The lawyers cited three Supreme Court judgements to support their arguments. On the other hand, Salman's lawyer argued that Daundkar was a third party and could not intervene in the case. He cited nine judgements to argue his case. The prosecutor said he had no objection if Daundkar and his lawyers helped the prosecution. However, they had no right to examine the witnesses, he said.

The court, however, rejected Daundkar's plea saying that he was not an aggrieved party and was not concerned with the case. Hence, he had no right to intervene at this stage. But after the evidence is recorded, he may at the end of the trial urge the court to allow him intervene. As regards Daundkar's plea for perjury action against Salman and police, his lawyers said that the Magistrate's court at Bandra was inquiring into the matter. The lawyers argued that the inquiry should now be conducted by the sessions court because the hit-and-run case has been transferred from Magistrate's court to sessions court after it was held that the charge of culpable homicide was made out against the actor. 

The court rejected this plea also as the judge held that he was not empowered to decide this.

Bigg Boss 7: Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Illeana D'Cruz wow viewers on first weekend

The highlight of the episode was when Shahid Kapoor made an entry on the stage dancing to a medley of Salman's songs.

The first weekend on Bigg Boss — Weekend Ka WOW Salman Ke Saath 7 opened with a bang. The episode had all the fun elements right from Salman's wit and charm to warring contestants to a special chat with evicted contestant Hazel Keech. Salman invited Hazel on the stage and asked her to choose the devil and the angel of the week from the contestants in the house. While Shilpa Saklani was chosen as the angel, 'bad boy' Kushaal was crowned as the devil. The highlight of the episode was when Shahid Kapoor made an entry on the stage dancing to a medley of Salman's songs. Shahid, who was on the show to promote his film Phata Poster Nikla Hero, got a warm welcome from Salman.

Seeing Shahid's killer moves, Salman too joined him on the stage and the duo danced in the signature Dabangg style on the film's title track. The camraderie between Salman and Shahid was something to watch out for. The duo even took the viewers down the memory lane when they played out a scene from Aamir-Salman starrer Andaz Apna Apna. While Salman played his character of prem, Shahid slipped into Aamir Khan's character. Soon the boys were joined by the lovely Illeana. Shahid and Illeana surprised the inmates when they went inside the house through 'Me TV'. 

Sticking to her character of complaint Kajal in the film, Illeana confronted the contestants with a host of complaints including overusing the ration in the first week. In the honour of the special guests, the Bigg Boss contestants organised a dance competition between the Jannat and Jahannum inmates. While Tanisha and Andy from heaven grooved to Dhating Naach from Shahid's latest, Gauhar, Eli and Kushaal gave them a stiff competiton from hell.

However, amid all the naach-gaana and fun, viewers also got a good idea of what's brewing between the contestants inside the house. Salman's sneak peek into the madcap house revealed changing equations between Armaan and Kushaal that gave an inkling of an oncoming storm. With all its masala and excitement, the episode ended with a promise of more colourful (mostly shades of red and grey) weekends ahead.

A sneak peek into Salman Khan’s new house at Lonavla

Salman Khan, the host of Colors' most controversial reality show Bigg Boss has reasons to stay away from his house these days. Why? Read on.

Owing to the renovation at Salman's Bandra residence " Galaxy", the actor is staying away from his house and the other attractive reason is that the makers of Bigg Boss have erected a special chalet for their host at Lonavala.

"Salman Khan is staying in a chalet at Lonavala, which is exclusively designed for him by Subhajyoti Dutta. The chalet has everything customized to the actor's tastes and preferences. It has a gym area filled with all the equipments, a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen and a kennel for his dogs," said a source.

The rooms are designed in a way that Salman can get a view of the outside.The interesting fact however is Salman Khan's king-size posters that adorn the walls along with the names of his hit films penned on a black board.

Ques: The promos of 'Bigg Boss 7' focuses on the heaven and hell concept. Can you please elaborate on it?

Salman Khan: The concept of 'jannat' (heaven) and 'jhannum' (hell) is just a publicity gimmick to promote the show. Every year there has to be something new, so these are just tactics to make it look new and different. The concept is very simple — you will see the angelic and the demonic traits that reside in the hearts of the celebrity contestants in the house.

Ques: What keeps you coming back to 'Bigg Boss'?

Salman Khan: I love the fact that I just have to dedicate one day in a week for the shoot. It's good fun. As the host of the show, it feels good to meet the house inmates, who are eager to see someone who's not a part of the house. They look so happy that it feels great to interact with them.

Ques: In the last season, 'Bigg Boss' was touted as a 'complete family entertainer'. Who are your target audience this year?

Salman Khan: (Laughs) We keep saying that so that families believe that Bigg Boss is a 'family' show.

Ques: So, you don't believe it to be a family show?

Salman Khan: I don't know. Sometimes it goes overboard, and that is exactly when the Colors team love it (grins).

Ques: Do you personally follow Bigg Boss?

Salman Khan: I watch the show because I am a part of it. I try and watch it every night, or else before I go on stage to shoot for my weekend episodes. In fact I watch each episode two or three times only to be well-versed with the happenings inside the house. Watching Bigg Boss is interesting as you get to learn a lot. I analyse each Bigg Boss contestant's behaviour in different situations. Watching them makes me think ki agar meri life mein aisa hota, toh how would I react. I feel not only me, even the audience get influenced negatively or positively by watching the show. That is because ghar ke andar jo hota hai happens in everybody's house.

Keen to work with Salman Khan, says Deepika Padukone

Actress Deepika Padukone says she is keen to work with superstar Salman Khan but is waiting for something special to bring them together on screen.

Deepika had an acting debut offer from Salman, which happened way before she was chosen by Farah Khan for Om Shanti Om. However, she declined it then as she felt she was not ready to face the camera.



"He offered me my first film when I was too young and I was not ready to be in front of the camera. I will always be grateful to him. Just the fact that he offered me a film was a great thing. It is taking a long time for us to come together on screen, so I think there is something special waiting for us," Deepika said last night.

The actress, who will be seen alongside south superstar Rajnikanth for the first time in Kochadaiyaan, says she admires his child like enthusiasm.

"I worked for three days with him. I took back from him is his simplicity, humility and child like attitude on sets. Despite achieving so much success he is so excited, enthusiastic and energetic even today, this is something that is inspiring to see," she said.

A lot of appreciation is coming Deepika's way with the success of films like 'Chennai Express', 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani', 'Race 2' but the actress feels awkward when people compliment her.

"I feel lucky enough to play special characters with good actors and directors...I feel awkward when people compliment me. I don't take compliments well, I don't reciprocate well," the actress said.

Deepika is happy to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic drama 'Ram Leela' opposite Ranveer Singh.

"There are various ways of telling a love story, like he (Sanjay) did with 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Devdas', and now he has come with a new love story 'Ram Leela', with a new background, new palette. Gujarat is not explored much in films, it is a new, different side of Gujarat," she said.

"The exciting part is that the film is new looking, fresh and different, it is a risk that we both (Ranveer and I) have taken... It is a new take on love story. We are nervous but excited," she said.

Deepika said it was not easy as it was emotionally, mentally and physically demanding film.

Well, clearly, he’s in no mood to divulge the ‘confidential’ number, so we ask him about the contestants instead. “It will be an interesting mix, and yes with some devilish characters too. Everybody wants to see a devil in the house,” says Salman. And, personally, how does he handle the fights in the house. “When four unknown people stay together, it’s natural to have fights... kinti baar mere khud ke ghar mein I lose my cool,” says Salman, who’s known for the spontaneity with which he hosts the show.

Does he follow any script? “No I don’t, arrey apne pakad liya mujhe!” he laughs, adding, “When what the participants are doing is not scripted, how can my dialogues be scripted?”

Finally, we ask him if he himself would ever want to be an inmate of a similar house or show. “Kyon bhai, jab show host karneko mil raha hai, main kyon jaoon inmate banne!” he says mockingly.

Bigg Boss Season 6 was marketed as a display to see family audience. How about this season?

When I requested him why, he said he desired accommodations.

How do you experience when a contestant choices up a battle with you, like Imam Siddiqui did last season?

In such circumstances, you always take a position to reduce. If I respond, I go house sensation like I shouldn't have and if I don't, I repent that too. I've known him since higher education. Had he obtained his due, he may not have been this way.

Not only 'Satyamev Jayate', if Bachchan sahab seems he is too old to host 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' then I will do that also."

The acting professional, who was in a jovial feelings during the media meeting, said the only query that creates him upset is about his wedding.

"Nothing occur without The lord's wish. When I will get a lady I will definitely get wedded. Individuals who ask me such concerns, I experience they are mind deceased," he said.

Shah Rukh Khan welcome to advertise movie on Bigg Boss: Salman Khan

Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan who will be internet hosting the 7th year of colors real show, Bigg Boss says that Shah Rukh Khan is welcome to come on the display and enhance his movies.

"Of course, he can come. If he is advertising his next movie, he is more then welcome," Salman said at the release of the display organised here Wed.

The two stars have been providing the cool neck to each other since five years now. But lately they were seen discussing a hug during an Iftaar celebration. Salman said that holding Shah Rukh was the organic factor to do.

"I think that it was Ramadan time...This action should be done by everyone. It is a great factor to tremble arms and hug," he said.

He further included that if he has to, he will contest with Shah Rukh through his perform.

"If we have to hit at each other, we will do so through our perform. Aamir is also arriving (with his movie now) and there is Ranbir too," he said.

The acting professional will be seen internet hosting Bigg Boss for it all time. Bigg Boss Season - Saath (7) will be broadcasted from Oct Fifteenth on colors.

Who doesn't know about the notorious cool between director Abhinav Kashyap and Salman Khan.

They joined up for Dabangg and rocked the box workplace but after that Abhinav Kashyap and Salman Khan separated ways. Kashyap stepped out of Dabangg and Arbaaz Khan took over the film's route.

Now Abhinav, who has instructed Besharam with Ranbir in cause part, has informed a major everyday that Salman often does not remember his collections.

Salman's lovers are already disappointed with the movie trailer of Besharam in which Ranbir says, "Sirf Chulbul naam rakhne se koi Dabangg nahi ban jaata". Now with this evaluation Abhinav has included energy to the flame.
